Primary trapeziectomy with RegJoint™ implant (2023)

Primary Trapeziectomy with RegJoint™ Implant: Two-Year Follow-Up Results

In 2023, Dr. Bogaert and colleagues published a two-year follow-up study on patients who underwent primary trapeziectomy with RegJoint™ implant for peritrapezial arthritis. The study focused on bone erosion and both clinical and radiological outcomes.

Although radiological changes were observed, they had no clinical impact. No significant complications, adverse tissue reactions, or bone erosion were reported. Patients experienced no pain or functional impairment. These findings support the use of RegJoint™ as a safe and effective option in trapeziectomy procedures.
